Where Can We Find You
What are you currently working on?
Currently, I’m celebrating seeing my photography featured in ShooterMag Issue 7, highlighting ten U.S. mobile photographers. I’ve spent the last few years shooting and getting my work out there globally in many digital and gallery shows, so I’m enjoying the satisfaction (and a little reprieve) of seeing my work in a print publication; a rarity in the mobile art world. I’m also currently working with my wife, facilitating a virtual self portrait workshop called Selfie Love, which is now two years in the running Selfie Love.
What’s on the horizon for me is an exciting Mobile Photography Project that involves a vw bus, my family, and a whole lotta mobile photography and teaching. The next step for me in living my life just doing what I love.
What drives you to create?
What drives me to create is a brain that runs non stop. (Dustpan and broom, click. Yellow balloon, swerves, pulls car over. Rusty screw, sets up tripod. Beautiful lilypads, nearly drown in said pond attempting to get the shot). Underneath the brain activity is a force that is constantly seeking inspiration, which is essentially what connects me to life and I do this by capturing the complexity and intimacy of simple everyday things. This drive is what led me to complete a 365 Project. On the surface that was a project about improving my artistry by taking a photo a day for a year, but really, it was about heightening awareness in my daily life.
For the record.
I shoot and edit on my iPhone 6 only.
So do not let high tech gear and expensive cameras hold you back. Shoot with what you have and keep shooting.
