I thought I would share a few photos from my $30 experiment I found a couple of weeks ago while #ExploringTheFrontier.
The Taron Eye 35mm camera with a 45mm ƒ/1.8 lens
All in all it did well but using the shutter and aperture setting was quite a challenge. Hard to explain how it works but it required turning the same ring one way to set the aperture, then the other way to set the shutter speed. Unfortunately it kept grabbing the other and made me go back and forth a few times to get a wide aperture. Another hiccup was the film got caught on something when rewinding. I had to roll it up by hand in the dark to get it processed. The rest of the functionality was great. I might take it in to get a CLA so I can keep on #ExploringTheFrontier with it.
I will say it was a fun experiment. To find a camera for this price is just a kick in the pants and a fun way to spark some new creative juices in your photography.
Film was a roll of expired kodak color negative film and the images were scanned on an Epson V700.
